Torch & Flameworking

Anyone 10 years or older may participate in any of our Torch classes!

2 Hour Group Flameworking

$95 per student

In this hands-on introductory glassblowing class, you’ll learn the basics of torchwork as you create unique glass items like pendants, keychains, wine stoppers, and more.

Class is offered every Saturday from 3 pm to 5 pm
This class is taught in a small group. You can sign up on your own or with friends. Up to 4 people can take the class—if fewer than 4 register together, the remaining spots may be filled by other participants.
Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you’ll experiment with various techniques, shaping and manipulating glass with a torch.
Using glass rods and colored frit, you’ll discover how to control the flame and design personalized pieces that reflect your creativity.
By the end, you’ll have several beautiful, handmade glass items to take home, along with new skills to continue exploring the art of glasswork.

2 Hour Private Flameworking

$195 per student

In this private class, you’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of flameworking, an exciting glass art technique using a torch to melt and shape borosilicate glass.

Personalized, one-on-one guidance from an experienced instructor
You’ll learn how to manipulate the glass to create beautiful, unique pieces such as pendants, raindrops, icicles, and other decorative items.
You’ll explore the properties of borosilicate glass, a durable material perfect for intricate designs, and master the skills to safely handle the torch, control the flame, and form detailed shapes.
This hands-on experience will allow you to develop a deeper understanding of the craft and create your own glass treasures.

10 Hour Private Instruction

$600 per student

This course will cover shop safety, torch and shop set-up. You will learn flame adjustment, heat transfer and simple welds with rod and color. Work directly over a torch with borosilicate glass to make pendants, suncatchers, marbles, and more. Leave with knowledge of the fundamentals required to advance your skills!

This course is scheduled on an individual basis for a minimum of 2 hours.
